Overview

Ryouth Software builds privacy-first mobile apps. This policy covers SummonNote and the Ryouth Software website at ryouthsoftware.app.

Data We Collect

SummonNote app: SummonNote is designed to minimize data collection. Speech is processed on your device. Notes are stored locally. We do not collect personal information directly through the app.

Website: If you sign up for the newsletter via the email signup form, we collect your email address. We use Vercel Analytics to measure aggregate page views and traffic patterns. Vercel Analytics is privacy-friendly and does not use cookies or track individuals.

Crash and error data: We use Sentry to monitor crashes and errors. Sentry receives technical data such as stack traces, device model, OS version, and an anonymous device identifier. Sentry does not receive your note content, audio data, or email address.

How Data Is Used

• Email addresses collected via the newsletter form are used solely to send you product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
• Crash and error data from Sentry is used to identify and fix bugs and improve app stability.
• Aggregate analytics from Vercel Analytics are used to understand which pages are visited and to improve the website.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.

Cookies

The Ryouth Software website does not use cookies. Vercel Analytics, which powers our traffic measurement, operates without cookies and does not track individual users across sessions. The SummonNote app does not use cookies.

Third-Party Services

SummonNote and the Ryouth Software website interact with the following third-party services:

• Sentry — crash reporting and error monitoring. Receives technical error data (stack traces, device model, OS version). Does not receive note content or audio.
• RevenueCat — subscription management on behalf of the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Processes payments. Ryouth Software does not collect or store payment card information.
• Apple CloudKit & Google Drive — optional cloud sync for Plus subscribers. Sync operates through your own cloud account. Ryouth Software does not have access to your synced data.
• Vercel Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookie-free aggregate traffic analytics for the website.
• Resend — email delivery for the newsletter. Stores your email address if you subscribe.

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

Voice Recognition

SummonNote recognizes your words directly on your device. Audio is never sent to a server, stored, or shared.

Note Data

Notes stay on your device. Note content is not transmitted to any server. If you use Plus cloud sync, your notes are transmitted through your own Apple CloudKit or Google Drive account — not through Ryouth Software servers.

Your Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., California, the EU, or the UK), you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Deletion: You can request that we delete your personal data. Note data stored locally on your device can be deleted at any time within the app. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time, and we will remove your email from our mailing list.
• Opt-out: You can opt out of Sentry crash reporting by using the app offline or contacting us to disable telemetry. You can opt out of Vercel Analytics by using a tracker-blocking browser extension.
• Correction: You can request that we correct inaccurate personal data.
• Withdraw consent: You can withdraw consent for data processing at any time by contacting us.

Children

SummonNote is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data Retention

Note data is stored on your device until you delete it. Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Sentry retains crash data according to its own retention policy. We do not retain personal data longer than necessary.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page whenever we make changes. Continued use of SummonNote or the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
